• Check-in after 3:00pm.

• Come to the office to get your keys and pay your balance.

• Please notify us if you are arriving after 6:00pm.

Check-out​

• Check-out by 11:00am.

• Return keys to office or the chalkboard tray outside the office.

• Return all furniture to their original positions.

• Wash, dry, and put away your dishes.

• Take your garbage and recycling to the receptacles across the street from the inn.

• You can either book online or call to reserve with us directly.

• You can also reserve through Aiirbnb and Vrbo. Note: Airbnb and Vrbo charge you additional guest fees to book through their platforms.

• Reservations require a 50% deposit of the total stay including tax. The balance is due on arrival.

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, personal checks, and cash are accepted.

• We do not charge convenience fees for using a credit card.

• A $25 change fee and 60-day notice is required for moving or removing dates on confirmed reservations.

• Reservations are transferrable. Please notify us immediately if someone else will be using your reservation.

• A refund, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be made with either a 60-day notice or if your cottage or suite is subsequently rented for all nights of the reservation.

• No shows will be charged for the entire reservation.

• We require a 2-night minimum stay on weekends.

• We require a 3-night minimum stay on holidays and special events which includes: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Fishermen's Picnic, Labor Day, Unplugged, Moose Madness (MEA), Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

• During your stay you have the option to reserve your cottage or suite for the same time for the following year.

• All other reservation are accepted only for 12 calendar months in advance. This policy allows current guests the first chance to reserve their cottage or suite for the same time the following year.

• No smoking or vaping indoors,

• We do allow smoking outdoors. However, please be considerate of our other guests and make sure your smoke is not being carried into another guest's cottage or suite.

• Rates are subject to change.

• Rates do not include 12.375% state, county, and lodging sales taxes.

• Payment of your deposit acknowledges your acceptance of our cancellations and changes policies.

• Rates are based on double occupancy. Additional charges for more than 2 people apply.

Extra People Charges

Adult:             $15 per night

Child (0-12):     $5 per night

• No children are allowed in Inn Suites #5, #6, and #7.

• Children are welcome in our Cottages # 1, #2, and #3    plus Inn Suites #4 and #8. 

• We encourage using our outdoor fire circles and indoor fireplaces in the inn suites to enhance your stay at Croftville Road Cottages. 

• Firewood is for Croftville Road Cottages guests only.

• We ask for a $6.00 suggested donation per tote of firewood or for the 3-hour firelogs.

• Please use our canvas totes to carry firewood and return totes for others to use.

• Never leave your fire unattended.

• Always close and latch the glass doors when you are done enjoying your indoor fire in the fireplaces.

• Please be considerate to our earth by being good stewards of our environment.

• Recycling is encouraged. We accept: glass, steel, aluminum, newspaper, plastic (#1 and #2 only, no caps).

• You know best when you want to exchange towels or linens. We will gladly exchange them but upon request only.

• Our artesian well provides excellent drinking water.

• The cottages and inn suites are equipped with good quality Wi-Fi for all guests.

• The network name is "Croftville Road Cottages Public" and is not password protected.

• There is no broadcast or cable TV reception at our resort. The smart TV allows you to select from free online channels or login to your favorite subscription channels.

• The smart TV is connected to a DVD player. We have a modest selection of movies to choose from in the office.

• Please be considerate to other guests at Croftville Road Cottages.

• Quiet Hours: 10:00pm - 7:00am.

• If you are smoking, vaping, or grilling outdoors, make sure your smoke is not being carried into another guest's cottage or suite.

• Forgetting items in your rental occasionally happens, We place non-food items in our lost and found drawer in our office.

• We will return forgotten items on your request but do charge a $10 service fee plus postage.

• We offer a 10% discount for students or instructors at North House Folk School or The Grand Marais Art Colony.

• Proof of registration is necessary for the 10% discount to be applied to your invoice.

• The discount can be applied to the night before, the days of, and the night after the class.

• You can send us proof of registration either by email prior to your arrival or when you arrive at check-in. 

• We have a strict "no pet" policy, this includes emotional support animals.

• We do welcome service animals as is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. (ADA)

• If you and your service dog come stay with us, we provide a service dog care kit for your convenience.
